This month we will explore a topic that we haven’t really addressed in the past.
Negotiating settlements, primarily with unrepresented parties, requires a delicate touch. These negotiations must be conducted in a manner that ensures that the standards of care as defined in the Adjuster Code of Ethics are adhered to, such that no violations of same occur. In this presentation, guidelines will be discussed so that you and/or your adjuster do not run afoul of these standards. We will also discuss overall strategies for settlement, and ideas for calculating settlements effectively utilizing these strategies.
