Our guest speaker this month is Broward RIMS Member Theodore Woodburn from the Pyxis Group. In this special presentation, an overview of the latest Business Interruption coverage and coverage issues will be discussed. Some of the areas of discussion will include:
- What is actually covered.
- Triggers for coverage - physical damage or cyber exposures.
- Common pitfalls that may affect coverage, such as the period of restoration, extended periods, and ordinary payroll.
- How to set yourself up for success by establishing proper values, identifying key suppliers and customers, and establishing proper limits that are time-based and dollar-based.
- Extra expenses and what is typically included, and how these can maximize recovery.
- We will also review case studies and the claim challenges that were experienced.
- And much more...
This is a topic that often generates more questions than answers, so join us and hear from an expert!
