In this CEU presentation, we will receive a brief overview of the history of the Guides/Florida Uniform Permanent Impairment Rating Schedule, comparisons of the different versions, and key ideals/principles. We will review national data on the prevalence of erroneous impairment ratings and the potential impact to your claims.
Learn to identify red flags to look for in impairment ratings, your resources available in the field, and what steps to take if you suspect you have received an erroneous rating.
This session is open to everyone, but will also provide a CEU for those who qualify.
Carrie Manges, a SC native, has 12+ years of clinical experience as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. Carrie has worked in several physical therapy settings before finding her passion and specialization in the field of Worker’s Compensation with CORA Physical Therapy. Carrie has been with CORA since 2012, and is currently a Senior Regional Workers’ Compensation Specialist for GA, NC, and SC and provides companywide Workers’ Compensation Education. Carrie has worked diligently during her time with CORA PT to raise the bar for treating injured workers, staff education, employee and employer education, injury prevention programs, as well as special testing such as Functional Capacity Evaluations and Impairment Ratings. Carrie is both a Certified Impairment Rater and Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator.
