Our presentation schedule has been adjusted to provide this important information as quickly as possible.  This will be a panel discussion.

The Florida Supreme Court has introduced several amendments to the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure that risk managers must carefully consider, as these changes will directly impact litigated cases.  A key focus of the amendments is to streamline case proceedings by significantly limiting or eliminating continuances.  Additionally, the updated Rules include new discovery and conferral requirements, with potential sanctions for non-compliance.

In this presentation we will examine the major changes made by the Florida Supreme Court to the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.  These changes aim to streamline the litigation process but will significantly modify how you manage risk in your litigated cases.  Join us as we take you on the ride through these numerous changes and their impact on you.

AC Nash is the managing attorney of the Ft. Lauderdale casualty department at Marshall Dennehey, an AM Law 200 firm, and co-chair of the premises and retail liability practice group. With nearly two decades of experience, AC has defended high-profile cases statewide, including the Orlando Drop Tower and the police shooting of Charles Kinsey. He specializes in the three "P's": Police, Products, and Premises. AC is a conflicted UF/FSU alum.

Ryan Burns, a shareholder with the firm, is a seasoned attorney in the firm's Casualty Department, specializing in complex liability matters such as catastrophic loss, wrongful death, and premises liability. A skilled trial lawyer, he has handled multi-party claims over $50 million. A Florida native, Ryan studied theoretical physics and mathematics at the University of Florida before attending law school at Indiana University.

Edwyna Estime is an associate in the Casualty Department, defending Fortune 100 clients in premises liability, product liability, and governmental liability cases across Florida. She earned her B.S. in criminal justice from FAU and her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, where she participated in the Nova Trial Association, Moot Court, and Nova Law Review.
